What's your favourite children's book?

ree

This is mine, "The Koala Who Could" by Rachel Bright and Jim Field. It's about a Koala who finds it very difficult to try new things, meaning that he is often isolated in his eucalyptus tree. But then something happens that forces him to be courageous...

I have loved reading this book repeatedly to all three of my children (my 11 year old daughter still loves it - possibly because she likes laughing at my terrible australian accent!). It's this line that gets me...

"Kevin, he carefully opened one eye and looked up at the love staring down from the sky'.

This gives him strength to be brave and try. It's strange but I seem to get something in my eye at that point every time I read it 🥲. It might make a good stocking filler?! I know, I've mentioned it and we're only in November 🫣 🎄 .

Let me know which book you loved as a child or that you enjoy reading to your children. Is there a line that's touches you and turns you into a wobbly mess like me?!
