Welcome to Wilson Tuition!

I'm Caroline and I have been a primary school teacher for over twenty years. I graduated with a BA Hons in Primary Education with QTS in 2000 and have been teaching ever since! I consider myself very fortunate to have been a class teacher in YR, Y1, Y2, Y4, Y5 and Y6 as well as a specialist subject teacher in KS2. I loved creating a 'team' in my classroom and it was a pleasure to spend time with amazing, inspiring and fun-loving little people every day! Part of my role also included teaching small groups of children who might have needed a bit of extra help or extra extension with the work they were covering in the class.

In addition to working in a primary school, I have also been tutoring privately since 2013. This has been predominantly for the 11+ but also for Maths and English support. I now offer online tuition for Maths, English and 11+ for children aged 7-11 years.

My teaching ethos is that children learn best when they feel calm, supported and happy. I really enjoy seeing children's confidence grow as they learn new skills or consolidate existing knowledge. It is a huge privilege to be part of a child's learning journey!

When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me in my wellies either walking the dog, in my garden or up at my allotment! Truthfully though, I spend most of my time trying to keep up with my three children! I’m also obsessed with colour and get my creative juices flowing by making colourful jewellery.
